This special edition poster was developed as an extension of the Synnøve Anker Aurdal-exhibition (21.05.–04.09.2022).
This poster is inspired by the artwork Sølvklode, 1970, and printed on a special art paper, in a limited run.
Synnøve Anker Aurdal (1908-2000), was a pioneer in Norwegian modernist textile art. She used a simplified, geometric design language. It is also typical of Aurdal that she experimented with new materials, and that she eventually freed herself from a Norwegian textile tradition. Among other things, she used industrially produced pigment to dye the yarn, at a time when the ideal was plant-dyed yarn.
