Astrup Fearnley Museet is marking the opening of Cauleen Smith’s The Deep West Assembly on June 13 with a celebration at the museum and a Beach Party

The celebration will be at the museum, in the adjoining Tjuvholmen sculpture park and on the beach, with a performance by Waldane Walker and DJ set by Nora! We will serve refreshments and barbecue in the sculpture park!

The performance by Waldane (aka Kinpupalic) starts at the tram stop at Aker brygge (outside the National Museum) at 18:00. It invokes the spirit of Jonkunno; an invitation that transports and transposes us through the nuanced depths of the visual and physical realms. Let their embodiment guide you as you are steeped into the pulsating vibration of the streets, museum and the beach.

There is limited capacity, so sign up is required. First come, first served for entry allocation. Registration for the event opens on Monday 3 June at 10:00.
