We will talk about the use of text in textile art with references to Cauleen Smith and her The Deep West Assembly, as well as Synnøve Anker Aurdal and other artists from the collection. The workshopen gives a simple introduction to the technique filet crochet, and it is an advantage if you are familiar with needlework and crochet but not required. We will also explore how to use digital resources when making sketches of new patterns.
