Event

The Rasmus Club | Graphic Print and Bright Colors

Inspired by the current exhibition with Beatriz González, we explore how artists can change an image by simplifying it.drawing with thread!

In the Rasmus Club this month we look at the works of Beatriz González, an artist who often took motifs from photographs, newspapers and events in society. In her works, details are removed, the shapes are clearer and the colors are stronger. How can we show a person or a story with just a few lines? What happens when we use colors that do not necessarily exist in reality?

The children create their own motifs inspired by people, objects or stories from the life around them. The motifs are transferred to foam rubber, which is used as stamps. The images are then printed on paper with clear color surfaces and exciting shapes.

The Rasmus Club is a free art club for children aged five to twelve years that meets up two Saturdays a month. Together, we explore contemporary art through conversations and creative workshops.

The children are divided into age groups:
11:00 – 12:30: 5–6 years old
13:00 – 14:30: 7–8 years old
15:00 – 16:30: 9–12 years old
