Thoresen’s work draws upon Sámi design traditions emphasizing improvisation and the re-purposing of existing materials. Her new installation Et stille og beskyttet farvand, de overliggende lag gik uforstyrret hen over den will be on view in one of the museum’s largest galleries, on the second floor of The Astrup Fearnley Collection display.
At 19:00 there will be a short conversation between Silje Figenschou Thoresen and curator Owen Martin on the first floor of the Astrup Fearnley Collection display.
