Open day in the Astrup Fearnley Collection!
30 May, 11:00 — 17:00
On the occasion of Oslo Art Weekend we have free entry to the Astrup fearnley Collection for all from 11:00-17:00
Did you know that every year we rotate the works on view in the collection, bringing out both new acquisitions and old classics?
In the current presentation, you can travel through 40 years of art history!
From Odd Nerdrum’s masterpiece The Murder of Andreas Baader (1977–1978), Jeff Koons’ enigmatic Michael Jackson and Bubbles (1988), and the dreamlike unicorn in Børre Sæthre’s My Private Sky (2001) to recent acquisitions, such as Nina Beier’s Fleet (2024), Julia Rommel’s Crafter’s Choice (2024), Kara Walker’s A Burial at the Artist’s Country Estate (2022), and Nicole Eisenmans monumental sculpture Perpetual Motion Machine (2019).
