Make your own flag | Family Workshop
31 May, 12:00 — 16:00
Inspired by the artistic practice of Gardar Eide Einarsson, children and families are invited to an outdoor workshop exploring flags, symbols, and community.
What is a flag, really? Who creates the symbols we gather around? Can a flag represent something other than nations and borders? And what would a flag look like if it represented you, a feeling, or a community you long for?
Through shapes, colours, and personal symbols, participants create their own flags. Working with a wide range of exciting materials, we experiment with how patterns and signs can be combined in different ways.
Weather permitting, the workshop will take place outdoors by the museum.
Family workshops are held every Sunday based on a drop-in basis between 12:00 and 16:00. The activities are related to current exhibitions and with creative tasks that both young visitors and grown-ups can do together.
The workshop is free for everyone, but adults over 20 years old must pay the museum admission. If you are a member admission is free.
