Family Workshop | Weaving with Various Materials

Young visitors and adults are invited to explore weaving with various materials together!

In the collection display we find woven works by artists such as Ann Cathrin November Høibo and Synnøve Anker Aurdal. We draw inspiration from their forms and create our own. We look at Anker Aurdal’s use of unconventional materials, as we employ textile yarn, crepe paper, plastic bags, and text lines from magazines. You can take your finished woven work home with you.

Family workshops are held every Sunday based on a drop-in basis between 12:00 and 16:00. The activities are related to current exhibitions and with creative tasks that both young visitors and grown-ups can do together.

The workshop is free for everyone, but adults over 20 years old must pay the museum admission. If you are a member of the Astrup Fearnley Museum’s art club, admission is free.
