O ever-renewing hope, you refused to burn. 

Palestinian poet and entrepreneur Ibrahim Nasser presents his poem fire, homeland, paradise, written in response to the video installation Oh shining star testify (2016–19) by artist duo Basel Abbas and Ruanne Abou-Rahme. First shown in the artists’ 2023 exhibition at Astrup Fearnley Museet, the installation is now part of the museum’s collection.

This encounter between poetry and visual art invites the audience into a shared experience inside the work, followed by a serving of Palestinian herbal tea.
