Nickas has organized more than one hundred exhibitions since 1984, including<em>&nbsp;Tom Sandberg: Photographs 1989\u20132006&nbsp;<\/em> at MoMA PS1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The lecture is available at our YouTube channel:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Bob Nickas on Tom Sandberg | Lecture\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/iD-4Rq3yXNc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Norwegian photographer Tom Sandberg (1953\u20132014) is considered a pioneer. A master of light in the great photographic tradition, he worked exclusively with the medium of black-and-white analogue photography. His remarkable poetic vision and expression is imbued with a strong sense of presence and mystery. Sandberg\u2019s international recognition had its peak with the solo exhibition at MoMa PS1, New York, in 2007, curated by Bob Nickas.
