Jens Johannessen is an artist who is particularly aware of the painting&#8217;s history and its possibilities. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>He has developed his own artistic language in a transitional period in art history, a period between what has been defined as modern and post-modern art. In Norwegian art history he is the one who most successfully has defined the painting anew and disengaged it from a firmly anchored tradition.
