The Astrup Fearnley Collection is one of Europe\u2019s\u202fleading\u202fcollections of international contemporary art with\u202fnearly\u202f1 500 works. The museum shares this dynamic collection by regularly reinstalling\u202fits\u202fdisplay, placing works in new constellations\u202fand contexts to suggest new readings.\u202fThis Spring, the museum\u2019s visitors will be presented with several new acquisitions, showing how the Astrup Fearnley Collection is constantly expanding with new artistic positions, but also how the museum continues to deepen its already established relation to key artistic practices of our time.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This updated presentation of the collection includes several recent acquisitions, such as\u202fNina Beier\u2019s\u202fFleet<\/em>\u202f(2024),\u202fJulia Rommel\u2019s\u202fCrafter\u2019s Choice<\/em>\u202f(2024),\u202fand Kara Walker\u2019s\u202fA Burial at the Artist\u2019s Country Estate<\/em>\u202f(2022). They are presented alongside Synn\u00f8ve Anker Aurdal\u2019s\u202f Fossen<\/em>\u202f(1984\u201389) and Olav Christopher Jenssen\u2019s\u202fOnce, Thirtyfirst Time<\/em>\u202f(1996)\u2014works and practices more commonly associated with the collection.\u00a0 Other recent acquisitions, such as\u202fRobert Grosvenor\u2019s sculptural installation\u202fUntitled\u202f<\/em>(2022)\u202fand Klara Lid\u00e9n\u2019s Verdebelvedere<\/em> (2024) and\u202fVerdebelvedere Exit<\/em>\u202f(2024), will be presented in the museum for the first time.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
