The program<\/a> presents three powerful works that, similarly to the exhibition, interrogate colonial archives and reimagine historical narratives.

Specialised Technique<\/em> by Onyeka Igwe is an analytical experimentation with colonial imagery; Loving in Between<\/em> by Jyoti Mistry is the emancipatory celebration of love beyond social contraints; Sometimes It Was Beautiful<\/em> by Christian Nyampeta offers a communal reflection on who has the right to representation. All three films employ techniques of fragmentation, recontextualization, and critical proximity that parallel Orupabo’s collage practice, transforming archival material into acts of resistance that challenge colonial perspectives on race, gender, and identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The screening takes place at Kunstnernes Hus Kino<\/a> and is followed by a conversation between curator of the exhibition Owen Martin and curator of the film program Abirami Logendran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program is part of Kunstnernes Hus Kino film series Frykten eter sjelen (Fear Eats the Soul)<\/a><\/em> which explores how migration and migration experiences have been depicted in cinema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
