Mike Bidlo – Not Picasso, Not Pollock, Not Warhol

The American contemporary artist Mike Bidlo (b. 1953) entered the New York art scene in the early 1980s. He belongs to the generation of appropriation artists who reuse familiar ideas, images, and objects by placing them in new contexts. His artistic concept involves replicating modernist masterpieces from the 20th century, including paintings and sculptures by artists such as Picasso, Pollock, Warhol, and others

This is the first time Mike Bidlo is exhibiting in Norway, presenting simultaneous retrospective exhibitions at the Astrup Fearnley Museum and Bergen Kunstmuseum.
