Family Workshop | Improvisation with materials

A family workshop taking its inspiration from Silje Figenschou Thoresens exhibition.

The artist Silje Figenschou Thoresen works with surplus materials and what is at hand, and draws upon Sámi design traditions that value improvisation and the re-purposing of materials.

In this family workshop you can build your own three dimensional motif from cardboard, wood, rope and metal.

Family workshops are held every Sunday based on a drop-in basis between 12:00 and 16:00. The activities are related to current exhibitions and with creative tasks that both young visitors and grown-ups can do together.

The workshop is free for everyone, but adults over 20 years old must pay the museum admission. If you are a member of the Astrup Fearnley Museum’s art club, admission is free.
