Family Workshop | Children’s Games

Build, decorate, and let your imagination take flight!

In this drop-in family workshop, children and adults alike can find visual and auditive inspiration in Francis Alÿs’ short documentary films Children’s Games, which show children at play in different parts of the world. Here there is space for imagination, collaboration, and play – regardless of age or experience.

The workshop takes place in conjunction with Four Compositions on Francis Alÿs’ Children’s Games, shown at Astrup Fearnley Museet between 12 and 14 September, and including a curated selection from Francis Alÿs’ Children’s Games and two concerts with Cikada Ensemble.

The workshop is free for everyone, but adults over 20 must pay the museum entrance fee. If you’re a member, admission is free.

This activity is part of Barnas Ultima-dager (BUD) – the Ultima festival’s own events for the youngest audiences (but adults are more than welcome too)! At BUD you can discover contemporary music and exciting new sounds through concerts, performances, and workshops.
