Culture Night at the museum

Welcome to Oslo Culture Night at Astrup Fearnley Museet!  Free entry and free guided mini-tours

Have you ever wondered what it really means to be critical of “modernism”? During Oslo Culture Night you can find out. Join us on a journey through 40 years of art history, from Odd Nerdrum’s masterpiece The Murder of Andreas Baader (1977–1978) and Jeff Koons’ enigmatic Michael Jackson and Bubbles (1988) to the dreamlike unicorn in Børre Sæthre’s My Private Sky (2001).

We are giving away free ArtBags (limited supply), offering discounts on membership in our art club, and holding a book sale in the Astrup Fearnley Shop.

The mini-tours take place in the museum’s collection exhibition. The exhibition was updated this March with both older and new works, including several acquisitions from the past five years. Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please meet at the reception desk in the Collection Building.
