Founded in 1993, Astrup Fearnley Museet is one of Scandinavia’s most notable museums for contemporary art. The museum holds the extensive Astrup Fearnley Collection, and presents changing exhibitions that draw on the collection as well as debut new commissions by artists from all over the world.
Astrup Fearnley Museet is funded by The Norwegian Ministry of Culture and Equality, Foundation Thomas Fearnley, Heddy and Nils Astrup, Foundation Hans Rasmus Astrup, Stadsporten AS, and The Savings Bank Foundation DNB. We also extend our deepest gratitude to our sponsors; EGD Holding and The Thief, for their crucial support to our operations and exhibition programme. Our sponsors contribute to ensure our work of being an important participant on the Norwegian and International art scene.
